Sonnen installer training Tasmania

Sonnen Australia in conjunction with TREA will be delivering training on the installation of their eco 8 product range.

The product

The sonnenBatterie system consists of

  • Lithium Iron Phosphate battery storage in capacity ranging from 2-16 kWh in increments of 2 kW modules.
  • All-in-one intelligent energy storage system with smart software to maximize self-consumption via dynamic charge / discharge of the batteries and load control. Energy from solar is stored and managed during the day and excess energy plus load management is utilized throughout the night. Available in both single (2.5kW) and three phase (3.3kW) configurations.
  • The sonnenApp for Android and iOS enable users to check energy usage and production – anytime and from anywhere by smartphone or tablet to monitor, analyse and control the household supply and demand. Additional online monitoring and control via the user portal.

Clean Energy Council CPD points

CEC Accredited Installers will earn 35 CEC CPD points for completing the online training and getting a certificate of completion.
TREA members who attend and participate in the face-to-face session will earn an additional 35 CPD points.

Tasmanian electrical CPD points

Online section: Tasmanian electrician can claim 1 point per hour spent on research to update your skills. You need to keep your own record on the form of the research (e.g. websites visited, journals consulted etc) and the time spent (maximum 4 points per year).  You will receive a Certificate of Attainment if you successfully complete the online component.

Face-to-face session: You can claim 1 point per hour for approved face to face training provided by an Industry Association. TREA will lodge details of people who attend with CBOS.

Cost and RSVP

There is no charge to undertake the theory section.

Attendance at the practical session is free for TREA members and costs $30 for non-members (cash on the night please).

Becoming a Sonnen accredited installer

Once you have completed this training you will be ready to install your first Sonnen system in conjunction with existing or new solar PV. Sonnen provide documentation and phone support to guide you through your first installation. Once you have completed and commissioned your first system you will be listed on the Sonnen Australia Installers Map as an accredited installer and receive an accreditation certificate and unique registration number.
